RS232 TPMS receiver — for the controller that already has a serial port

If your controller has a free serial port and you would rather not add a CAN node, the serial interface is the shorter path: a receiver that reports per-wheel pressure and temperature as a frame your firmware parses.

What you get

ItemValue
InterfaceRS232 — one interface per unit, fitted at the factory (the same hardware is also built as CAN, RS485 or Modbus RTU; it is one, not four)
Level3.3 V TTL by default, RS232 on request — the level is a configuration item, not a separate model
Wheel positionsup to 256 per receiver
Data cycle500 ms on the output side; the sensor's own reporting interval is configurable and slower
Framedocumented frame layout handed over with the unit — see the note below
Supply / sealingDC 10–30 V · IP68

About the frame document (read this before designing the parser)

We do not publish a generic serial document, and we will not hand you an old one and let you discover the mismatch. The frame depends on the interface fitted and on whether you want raw packets or a parsed frame, so the layout is supplied per project, and the baud rate is confirmed against your controller before delivery rather than assumed.

What we need from you to close that: your controller (or UART), the baud rate you can support, whether you want raw packets or a parsed frame, and how many wheel positions. With those four we answer in writing with the configuration and the frame description.

Where the serial route usually wins

  • An existing machine controller with a spare port — no new bus, no terminator, no bitrate negotiation on an existing CAN segment.
  • Point-to-point links where the receiver and the controller are a short cable apart, which is the normal case on a fixed machine rather than a vehicle.
  • Retrofit on equipment whose controller is not documented — a serial frame is often the only interface the controller actually exposes.

Fixed machine, not just vehicles

The same receiver is used on fixed equipment: a shaft, a gas circuit, a test bench. What changes is the sensor and where it mounts, not the electronics or the interface. If the measuring point is gas at a few bar rather than a tyre, say so — the pressure range has to be matched, and we would rather discuss that in the first reply than after the order.
