Bluetooth pressure sensor without a receiver — check pressure from a phone, on demand

Some customers do not want a monitoring system. They want to walk up to the vehicle or the machine, screw on a sensor, look at a number on their phone, and be done. That is a legitimate product, not a downgrade.

Compliance: CE in progress, expected to be held in November.

Three ways this product gets used — all of them valid

#UseWho it is for
AA lower-cost alternative to a receiver-based system A customer who wants to monitor pressure but whose budget does not justify receivers and wiring
BOn-demand inspection A customer who only needs to check when they choose to — no receiver, no harness, no permanent installation
CClose-range integration A customer who already has a Bluetooth gateway on the machine and wants the sensor to talk to it directly

These are alternatives to each other, not a ladder. A Bluetooth sensor is not "the cheap end" of a pressure-sensor range, and it is not only for periodic inspection — it is a different architecture, and for the right customer it is the better one.

On-demand versus real-time monitoring

There is an argument here that the industry usually skips. A customer buying a Bluetooth sensor is often not buying real-time monitoring: they are buying the ability to check when they want to. Unscrew the sensor, screw it onto the valve, watch the pressure settle on a number, then move on. And keeping a pressure screen open while driving is not something most drivers do anyway — the dashboard is not where their attention belongs.

If that is your use case, a receiver-based system is money spent on a problem you do not have. If you genuinely need continuous monitoring and alarms at the dash, say so and we will quote the wireless receiver line instead. Both are our own products; we are not steering you between suppliers.

What it does not do

No receiver means no continuous fleet-wide monitoring and no dash alarm of its own — the phone is the reader. For an alarm in the cab, take the wireless receiver line.

FAQ

Do we need an app to read it?
Yes — the phone is the reader. If you want to read it from your own app or gateway we provide the BLE service and characteristic definition.
How often does it transmit?
It measures periodically and advertises on a slower cycle to save the cell; the exact intervals are in the interface document we provide.
Can it be fitted to a truck as well?
It can be fitted wherever the valve fits, but for a continuous heavy-vehicle programme take the wireless receiver line — that is what it is built for.
Is it automotive-grade?
The construction is automotive-grade and it is fitted on vehicles in series. We do not claim automotive qualification certificates.
